Paulina Goto Reveals How Her Film “Entra en mi vida” Helped Her Overcome Her Fear of Heights: “I Was Super Nervous” (Exclusive)
Paulina Goto Is Living a Very Special Moment in Her Career. The Mexican Actress and Singer Stars in Entra en mi vida, the New Romantic Comedy Streaming on Hulu and Disney+, and Confesses That the Film Not Only Challenged Her as a Performer, but Also Pushed Her to Face One of Her Biggest Fears: Heights.
“One of my biggest fears was heights. I always said: I’ll never go skydiving, bungee jumping, or do anything that involves looking down and feeling that drop,” she shared in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly en Español. However, during filming, she had to shoot a parachute scene that made her rethink everything. “The director and the production told me not to worry, that a stunt double could do it, but I was already so deep into Eugenia that I said, ‘Let’s face the fear.’ I was super nervous, but once I was up there, I didn’t want to come down. It was incredible,” she confessed.
That experience marked a before and after for the 34-year-old actress, who says she learned a valuable lesson. “When you face your fears, you realize they’re not as big as they seem. You see this giant monster, and in the end, you say: it wasn’t that bad,” she added with a smile.
A story of reinvention.

In the film, Paulina plays Eugenia, a young woman whose life seems to be falling apart: her boyfriend breaks up with her, she loses her job, her roommate leaves, and even her dog runs away. However, far from giving up, she decides to reinvent herself and share the entire process on social media, hoping to become an influencer.
The actress says that behind her character’s apparent superficiality lies a deep vulnerability. “The challenge was to show that Eugenia, behind that shell of a perfect life and superficiality, has very deep insecurities. I wanted to give her that flesh and vulnerability that make her human,” she explained.
Paulina doesn’t hesitate to describe filming as a “magical” experience, thanks to the atmosphere on set and the connection with her fellow cast members. “I really enjoyed working with Ximena Sariñana, Hugo Catalán, and Lalo Elizarrarás. We made a beautiful team and laughed a lot every day. That was wonderful,” she recalled.
She also highlighted the trust her director, Ernesto Contreras Cravioto, gave her. “He’s the kind of director who makes you feel you can trust his vision. I felt very supported,” she noted.
Reinventing oneself on and off the screen

Although the film was shot two years ago, Paulina reveals that it was also a period of reinvention in her personal life. After finishing the shoot, she put acting on hold to focus on her music and work on Natural, her most recent album. “It was a project that required space, and I was really afraid of stepping away from acting for a while, but it was something I needed to do,” she said.
That process was also reflected in the way she interacts with social media. “At the beginning of my career, I definitely felt overwhelmed by the pressure to please everyone. Today, I have a much healthier relationship with the digital world: I use it to share my work and connect with my audience from a more genuine place,” she explained.
What’s Next for Paulina
After focusing on her music, Goto confirms that she is returning to acting this year and already has new projects in the works. While she cannot share details yet, she hints that 2025 has been a year full of activity and gratitude. “It makes me very happy that my work can travel and connect with different audiences. That’s a gift,” she said.
With a clear message of resilience, Paulina assures that, like Eugenia, she believes in new beginnings: “When something ends, it’s because something better is coming. Endings also bring opportunities to reinvent ourselves and try new things.”
The film Entra en mi vida has been available on Hulu and Disney+ since October 3.
